What is your field and why did you choose it?

My field of research is Nanotechnology. Richard Feynman's "There's Plenty of Room at the Bottom" was a trigger and the possibilities the field can offer and the transformations it can make to the world greatly influenced me.

Tell us a bit about your career path.

Ph.D. in Physics with a specialization in synthesis and applications of carbon nanomaterials from the Institute of Technology in Madras, India.

Two postdoctoral contributions in:

  • Rowan University- Photo/electrocatalytic water splitting applications of nanomaterials
  • Wright State University, University of Wyoming- Design and fabrication of Hydrothermal Atomic Force Microscopes

If you could meet any historical figure, who would you choose?

I wish to meet the 20th century mathematical wizard, Srinivasa Ramanujan.

Any advice for students interested in STEM?

Embrace your curiosity and follow your instinct. Enjoy each and every try and never give up. You might be only a heartbeat away from success and making a difference.
